Artist Promotion

Skillet Dog Records

Target market:
Broadcast decision makers in the world of “Americana Music.”

Problem:
Communicate an appropriate marketing image for an established musician embarking on a solo-artist venture.

Solution:
After the popular group Billy Blues disbanded, Mark Lucas came to Dixon Design to create a visual identity and album graphics to help the songwriter launch his career as an individual artist. With music sales rapidly shifting to the internet, traditional CD packaging was targeted to influential music programmers in Europe and North America. Coordinated graphics tied the successful promotion to online outreach and social networks.
